About Monterey
Monterey Elementary School is one of 17 elementary schools in Roanoke City School Public Schools. Monterey, located in Northeast Roanoke, is an urban school with a diverse population. Despite the challenges of the urban school setting, the teachers and staff of Monterey are committed to providing all of our students with a safe, engaging and effective learning environment. Monterey is home to the Mountain Lions, and is led by Principal Lezlie Yaeger and Assistant Principal Nadia Witcher.
